Tutorial 2

1. This is a shot on a ice-cream seller taken at Chinatown. He is in the midst of preparing the ice-cream a customer has ordered. He might be thinking business for the day will be good since the weather has been quite humid, hence more customers.

2. This is a shot of a shoemaker at Chinatown. He is busy mending shoes. It shows the seriousness of him getting his job done. This was taken from a higher level. He looks like he is very tired but however he has to continue working to meet his daily needs.

3. This is taken at Chinatown too. There are groups of old folks sitting together at the open roof garden. Some are chatting while some are playing chess. They seem very relaxed and carefree. Perhaps they are deciding what to do next since they have lots of time.

4. This photo shows a kid playing at a water fountain at Sentosa. Even though we could not see his face, but we can tell from his body language that he is enjoying playing at the water fountain. As a child, he did not have to worry much as his parents are there to look out for him. So he is purely just enjoying this very part of his childhood.

5. A group of girls having fun in the beach.
Such bonding times with friends are indeed timeless moments in our lives.
Not only bonding with friends, family bonding is also very important in our lives.

6. The group of girls are deciding who to send out next to compete against the other team.
You can see it through their expressions.

1. Marina Mandarin Hotel
This is taken outside Marina Mandarin Hotel located near cityhall.
I have applied the "Filling the frame" technique to this set of shots to focus on the unique curved layout of the hotel building.. I positioned myself at the bottom of the building so that there will be a bit of converging lines going up, the foreground being much more larger as it goes up.

2. My room's window grill
This is taken inside my room. I took a shot of the repeating patterns of my window grills and the window glass. As i took it from the side, the grills which are further looks smaller. The grills looks like it is leading us along it. The lighting in my room reflects light on the window grills, making it feels that the light is leading the way.



3. Me
I have been quite an introvert since young. I tend to keep things to myself, and have many thoughts within myself. I may be an introverted person, however, i can be very cheerful and active at times too. I tend to get a bit bossy at times as i am a bit of a perfectionist. I feel that my inner self is very different from my outer self. I guess this is who i really am.
